New Conditions for Obtain Real Estate Residence Permit in Türkiye 

Real estate residence permit allows a foreigner to live in Türkiye, a right given to him by the Migration Management so that he can enter and leave Türkiye without a visa, with a condition that the foreigner should own a property in Türkiye.

  • The owner of the property in Türkiye whose name the property was purchased.

  • The property owner's offspring under the age of 18.

  • Spouse. 

Note: The owner is not entitled to grant real estate residence permit in Türkiye to his second wife if he is married to more than one wife, because Turkish law does not allow polygamy.

 

How Long Is a Real Estate Residence Permit?

The duration of real estate residence permit in Türkiye ranges from one to two years and is renewable, and there is no difference between the provinces or cities in Türkiye in the duration of the residence permit they may grant. Rather, the difference in the estimate of the duration of the granted real estate residence permit is between one to two years depending on the validity of the passport, as well as the period covered by the health insurance whether it is paid for one or two years.
