Turkey begins testing the first Turkish electric train designed and manufactured with local capabilities and expertise, adding another success to its record of industrial success, and is getting closer to achieving a policy of self-sufficiency and meeting the requirements of the domestic and foreign market.
The new train is designed and manufactured by the Turkish company TUVASAŞ, which is based in the Turkish state of Sakarya. The national electric train set, which will be exported to European Union countries by 2023, is designed according to TSI standards.

The experimental work of the train will take place in the state of Sakarya (northwest), where the headquarters of the TUVASAŞ company executing the national train project is located, after the Turkish government approved the high-speed train project, and the trains are scheduled to enter service at the end of this year 2020.
It is worth noting that the speed of this train is 200 km per hour. The train consists of 5 carriages with a capacity of 324 passengers. Two seats have been allocated for people with special needs. This type of project achieves comfort for the people and positively affects the economy and the movement of tourism in a big way, completing the industrial boom. Turkey, which witnessed a giant revolution in the last ten years in a number of industries, including the consumer, marine and defense industries.
