Foreigners in Ankara

Many foreigners and Arabs, especially Iraqis and Syrians, live in Turkey, and the  Turkish government has provided them with good facilities to secure a good standard of living, and many Arabs and foreigners have been encouraged to go to Turkey for many reasons, including:

  1. The geographical location of Turkey is close to Arab countries and Europe at the same time.
  2. Prices are somewhat acceptable in Turkey compared to European countries and sometimes acceptable compared to prices in Arab countries.
  3. Facilities provided by the Turkish government: It abolished the reciprocity law and facilitated some basic matters related to housing, education and others.
  4. The culture, customs and traditions of Turkish society are very close to the customs of Arab society with modernity and development.
  5. Turkey's climate, beauty and beauty of its landmarks.
  6. Universities and educational institutions in Turkey are of high quality, visited by many countries in the world.

These encouragements made Arabs go to it and seek to live in it, find job opportunities and secure opportunities for study.

One of the most attractive Turkish cities for Arabs, especially Syrians, is the city of Ankara, which was called Little Aleppo because of the large number of Syrians in it.

Ankara Province, Turkey:

Ankara, or as its origin was "Ankora" since a thousand years BC, and the founding of the city of  Ankara dates back to the  Bronze Age, and the city was expanded by the Greeks who came to it in 300 years BC, as it  formed a point of trade exchange for goods between the Black Sea region, Anatolia, the Levant, Persia and Armenia.

It was considered the second capital of the Byzantine state, in the late fourth century AD, so emperors fled to it from the heat of Constantinople and the humidity there.

Ankara has been the capital of Turkey since 1932 and has a large population so that it is the second city in Turkey in terms of population.

It is bordered to the east by Kirik Castle, to the northeast by Çankiri, to the  northwest by Polo, to the west by Eskişehir and to the south by Konya.

Ankara's Economy:

Ankara's good economy is mainly based on agriculture and animal husbandry to date, half of the land is used for agricultural investment as well as trade, industry and services.

Universities in Ankara:

Ankara - Gazi - Hacettepe - Middle East Technical - Yildirim Beyazit They are public universities while important private universities in Ankara:

Bashkent  - Çankaya - Bilkent - Atalam.

Among the most important landmarks in Ankara:

Atakuli Tower – Kocatepe Mosque –  Ankara Castle – Ataturk's Mausoleum – Museum of Anatolian Civilizations  – Kintpark Complex –  Roman Bath Museum – Folk Market "Kizilay" – Annette Grand Museum and other beautiful landmarks.

The number of Syrians in Ankara has increased, especially in  certain neighborhoods in it, and  this city witnessed the presence of Syrian merchants, and shops with paintings written in Arabic were observed in it, for example, on Selçuk Street, there are paintings for shops written in Arabic from barber shops to shops and others.
