Princess Islands are  located in Istanbul, which are located in the Sea of Marmara and are considered one of the main destinations for tourists in Istanbul, and they are small islands, with an area of approximately 15.85 square kilometers,

 

The story of the Princess Islands:

Islands derived their name from Byzantine times, as it was said earlier, princes and kings who were deported or deposed to them were exiled or even executed by Byzantine emperors, and the Ottomans took them in 1453 AD.

 

Islands in the Princess Islands:

There are nine islands in  the Princess Islands in order from smallest to largest:

Tavasasen Island Asdaf (0.004 km²) – Kassak Island (0.006 km²) – Sevri Ada Island (0.05 km²) – Yaslas Ada Island (0.05 km²) – Island of Shells (0.157 km²) – Kanel Ada Island (1.3 km²) – Borgaz Ada Island (1.5 km²) – Buyukada Island (5.4 km²), the largest island of the Princess Islands.

 

Buyukada Island:

It is the largest of the nine islands that make up  the Princess Islands,  with an area of 5.4 square kilometers, and a population of approximately 7,500 people, and it is a quiet island full of trees, the residential section of the island is concentrated in the northern part of it, so the yachts dock in the southern region of the island.

 

The island contains:

Historical buildings such as (Hagia Yorgi Church - Sixth Century Monastery - Ayios Demetrius Church - Hamidiya Mosque) It also contains restaurants, cafes and shops. A different beautiful place worth seeing and traveling in order to visit from everywhere.

 

Can foreigners own property in Princess Islands:

Currently, foreigners are allowed to buy property in Turkey, including the Princess Islands in Istanbul. But there are some rules and conditions that must be followed. Foreigners can buy residential or commercial properties in Turkey, and own land up to a certain limit.
