How do I apply for a tourist residency?
Tourist residence is obtained by submitting an application from the official website of the Turkish Immigration Directorate in order to obtain a specific date for the interview.
Interviews are conducted in many branches of the directorate, all you have to do is go to the specified date with the following documents:
1- Passport: A passport must be stamped with an entry stamp from the airport or one of the Turkish border crossings, and the validity is also valid for more than two months for the period required to obtain a tourist residence within it, for example, obtaining a tourist residence for a year needs to be in your passport 14 months of validity.
2- Personal photos: The photo to be placed on the residence permit document must be a recent photo taken within the last 6 months and the photo must be biometric with a white background number 4
3- Health insurance (sigorta): The value of insurance fees varies according to the type of company and the coverage of insurance and according to the age and duration required for insurance.
4- Residential address / rental contract: Applicants for residence in Turkey must have a residential address registered with the Turkish Population Department or a lease contract in the same state that applied for an interview appointment and the contract must be certified by the Turkish notary public (Notary).
5- Tax number: It is obtained from the Tax Department and it takes less than half an hour to obtain it Required Documents:
- Form a tax number request.
- Passport copy (with original passport)
- Residential address
6- Application fees (tax): The tax is divided into two parts:
- The value fee of the residence card (yabanci kart bedeli), which is a fixed tax for all nationalities, and its value is about (89) Turkish liras.
- Visa fees (harç bedeli) vary according to the nationality of the applicant
Fees can be paid via the following link : https://intvrg.gib.gov.tr/gocborc.jsp or by visiting any branch of the Tax Directorate in the city.
After that, you submit the full papers to the wishes officer, so you get a (temporary paper) so that you can move with it legally until the date of receiving the residence after
about a month or less, the Wishes Department sends the residence card to the residential address according to the lease contract you submitted, and if you are not available, you return to the Turkish Post Office PTT and receive a message in Turkish to your mobile number to alert you that you receive the card from the PTT center.
Documents required for tourist residency:
- A copy of the passport and the last entry stamp (visa)
- Personal photos white background(4)
- Interview Appointment Form
- Health Insurance (Securta)
- The rental contract of the residence is certified by the notary
- Tax Number
- A copy of the application fee payment receipt
- A copy of the residence permit (in case of renewal).
Additional papers for ages under (18) years
- Copy of parents' passports
- Copy of parents' residence (if applicable)
- Translation of the birth certificate, family book or family statement through the consulate of the country of origin and then certified by the acting or translation and legalization of documents from the Turkish consulate in your country
- In the event that the child is accompanied by one of the parents only, the parent must give a power of attorney or approval permit (from the notary public) to the companion with the child to obtain the residence
Additional documents that are likely to be requested by the Turkish Immigration Department for some nationalities:
- A copy of the title deed TAPU FOTOKOPISI (required from the property owner).
- TAPU AKTIF KAYDI ( REQUIRED FROM THE PROPERTY OWNER).
- NUMARA TAJ TIGRESS (REQUESTED FROM THE PROPERTY OWNER).
- Real estate evaluation of the property and the value of the property is not less than 75,000 US dollars
- A criminal record issued by the country of origin or from the consulate and translated and certified by the notary and the Qaim.
- A medical report issued exclusively by a government hospital.
- Bank statement for proof of income (last six months).
