What Are Its Advantages And To Whom Is It Granted?
Humanitarian residence or humanitarian asylum, as it is called, is a type of residence that gives protection to people who have lost the ability to live in their countries for special reasons mentioned in the United Nations Convention that was held in Geneva in 1951 and signed by 130 countries.
One of the advantages of a humanitarian residency in Turkey is that the owner receives some humanitarian aid, such as a monthly stipend, and facilitates the entry of his children to Turkey's government schools, including, of course, discounts on treatment in Turkish hospitals, and we do not forget the possibility of traveling within the Turkish borders after obtaining the humanitarian residency.
Categories who are entitled to obtain humanitarian residency in Turkey:
-
Anyone whose residency expired in early February 2020
-
Every person whose passport and residency period has expired and does not want to renew again, will have to obtain a humanitarian residence permit in Turkey
It is worth noting that, "Whoever obtains a humanitarian residency is not entitled to have a Kemlek, and it is not possible in any way to replace the residency with a Kemlek."
