Following Turkey's transition to the presidential system, it was one of the first 100 days of the new government project to establish a group of parks and reserves called people's parks.

The project includes the construction of 33 giant parks spread across 18 Turkish states across Turkey.

This is in order to increase the green area and increase per capita green cover by 10%.

The parks will also include biological lakes and public libraries.

Istanbul had the largest share of these parks, with the opening of five giant parks with an area of 1.5 million square meters.

1 – Hoşdere Park:

  • It has an area of 142,000 square meters.
  • Contains a biological lake with an area of 7,400 square meters.
  • Contains 1,900 trees spread into 34 different species.
  • Service facilities with an area of 5,000 square meters.

2 - Kayaşehir Park:

  • It is located on an area of 350,000 square meters.
  • The green area is estimated at 224,000 square meters.
  • The garden has 4,813 trees.
  • It has three biological lakes with an area of 2,800 square meters.
  • 10 km footpaths.
  • Hiking areas are about 4,000 square meters.
  • Children's playgrounds with an area of 10,000 square meters.
  • Grass areas of 175,000 square meters.
  • The garden has a huge library.

3- Başakşehir Park:

  • It is located on an area of 360,000 square meters.
  • The garden has a mosque with a capacity of 5,000 worshippers.
  • Parking for 1,398 cars.
  • Biological lake with an area of 11,740 square meters.
  • A fragrant flower garden with an area of 10,000 square meters.
  • The garden contains 4,700 trees spread into 24 species.
  • 25,000 square meters of service facilities.
  • 6,000 km of pedestrian paths.
  • Field with an area of 3,805 square meters.

4- Cherbeji Park:

  • It is located on an area of 465,000 square meters.
  • Implemented in 6 stages (4 of which have been completed so far)
  • Contains 3,661 trees.
  • Contains 93,148 shrubs.
  • 53,555 seating places.
  • 124,121 flowers.
  • 1,700 green light.

5- Barut Hana Park:

  • The area is 59,719 square meters.
  • Contains 557 trees.
  • 5,000 flowers of 12 different species.
  • 7,500 musime roses.
  • Children's playgrounds with an area of 682 square meters.
