Updates made by the Land Registry Directorate over the past 10 years
During the last 10 years, the Turkish Land Registry Directorate has provided an exemplary model in the field of information technology and automation, keeping up with the global digital development movement with the aim of providing the best services smoothly and easily, away from bureaucratic and legal complications that hinder official transactions and cause loss of time and effort.
In this context, we will report after the achievements of the Directorate of Land Registry in this regard:

"QR" barcode technology is based on real estate title deeds:
At the end of 2018, QR barcode technology was adopted on title deeds and its mediation became a key to accessing the location of the property on the map and accessing all the information, that are related to the property.

Cancellation of the mandatory personal image in title deeds:
During the month of July, the mandatory personal image in the title deeds was abolished, the Land Registry Directorate used nearly 3 million personal images and this step now saves 150 million Turkish liras.

Remote transfer procedures in different municipalities:
By this decision, the seller and buyer can complete the transfer of ownership to the Land Registry Directorate located in their home city, or even in their own country if they are outside Turkey.

Opening of 12 representative offices of the Directorate of Land Registry outside the Republic of Turkey:
The Directorate of Land Registry has opened 12 representative offices, outside the borders of the Turkish Republic, the first one was in Germany, with the aim of facilitating the procedures of buying and selling expatriates outside Turkey.

It is now possible to obtain 4 real estate documents from (e-devlet) the governmental portal:
It is now possible to obtain a real estate title deed, a mortgage document, a property registration document and a real estate share registration, by the governmental portal (e-devlet).
There are also many other services that the Directorate is currently developing, including 3D real estate maps, and many others.
