* Dr. Jamil Tashji Medical City: It seems clear that this medical city in Turkey has acquired its name after the name of Dr. Jamil Tashji Oglu, and this city was opened by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on March 30, 2020. The reason for naming this city is to commemorate the first doctor who lost his life for the sake of Turkey during his work and the performance of his professional medical and humanitarian duty during the period of the spread and outbreak of the Corona virus.

*Başakşehir Medical City: This medical city is considered the third city in Istanbul and ranks first in the world in terms of area, as its area exceeds one million square meters. And work has been done to open this medical city in April of 2020, despite the difficult health conditions due to the spread of the Corona virus and the difficult conditions that have been imposed because of it. Basaksehir Medical City operates with a capacity of 2,682 beds and 405 intensive care units, which are distributed across 8 different hospitals, 708 specialized treatment clinics and 90 operating rooms equipped according to the highest standards. And work has been done to equip Basaksehir Medical City with insulators resistant to all forms of seismic activities so as to ensure the possibility of providing medical services even in times of crises and natural disasters such as earthquakes. And the medical city of Basaksehir in Istanbul started working in full force and accommodating its medical staff during the month of May of 2020.

* Göztepe Medical City in Istanbul, Turkey: Göztepe is considered the No. 4 medical city in Istanbul, which is currently being completed. And if completed, it will be one of the largest medical cities that include the most modern hospitals in Turkey. It is expected that Göztepe Medical City, if opened, will operate with a capacity during the first phase of its launch, with a capacity of 597 beds, 27 operating rooms and 91 beds for intensive care, in September of 2020. It will also include 224 specialized clinics, 186 separate rooms and 160 double room. In addition, this medical city has been built with a security system that works against earthquakes. This security system includes 385 seismic isolators. These seismic isolators prevent the activities of the hospital from stopping in the event of an earthquake, and they also work to limit damages that may result from such earthquakes and natural disasters.
