Concept:
It is a zone created by the state to practice commercial and financial economic activities, away from legal obstacles and tax fees, with the aim of stimulating the movement of investments in foreign countries.
The objectives of the Turkish government in establishing free zones:
- Encouraging production and investment for export.
- Attracting foreign investments.
- Focus on exports.
- Development of international trade.
Tasks of Free Zones:
- Facilitates the entry of foreign capital and modern technology into the country.
- Securing the raw materials needed by the Turkish industrial sector in appropriate quantities and saving time.
- Reducing export and production costs on products due to the said facilities.
- Encouraging transit movement.
- Securing job opportunities.
- Facilitating the movement of Turkish exports.
